What goes well with picked over?

We analyzed over 150,000 recipes to figure out which ingredients makes picked over better. On average, recipes with picked over gets 4.48⭐ review scores. But in some combinations, review scores get a lot better.
Here comes the combinations we found:

Significant high scores: carrots, salt

Better than not: parsley, basil, lemon juice, bay leaf, red lentils, sugar, thyme, tomatoes, yellow onion

🤷‍♀️ Shrug: black pepper, garlic, cumin, egg, chili powder, brown lentils, olive oil, oregano, water

Scores poorly: curry powder

Pay attention: cilantro, red onion

Remember this is how people score them online. A bad combination might not be a bad combination. It might be hard to cook or people make poor substitutions. If you think it makes sense to use something, just pay extra attention.
